Our flow of patients is very sizeable. 1.130.000 outpatients and 5.300 childbirths are handled every year.

We have 2.500 doctors and 4.100 nurses. They, together with many other highly skilled professionals, make Rigshospitalet what it is.

Patients from all parts of Denmark are referred to us for highly specialised treatment across almost the entire spectrum of medical specialities.

The “Improvement Engine” for the Sickest Patients

After years of preparation, intensive care units across Denmark have begun enrolling patients in the INCEPT platform trial, which tests multiple treatments at once to improve care for the most critically ill.​

International award for pioneer in rare diseases
